Julia and Gabe got married at the Thomas Fogarty Winery in Woodside, California. This was my second time filming there, but first with the drone, so it was exciting. There aren’t many places more beautiful or scenic than this to tie the knot. High up in the mountains, miles away from main roads, and on top of a vast winery makes for the perfect backdrop.
Another great thing about the setup here, as is with many outdoor locations, is it gives me plenty of room to maneuver behind the scenes. In this case, it made it easy to set up and handle a 3 camera ceremony shoot with just one videographer (myself).
The fact that Julia and Gabe were so obviously and infectiously head over heels for one another made the day all the more pleasant, and it really just flew by. If only I could have included Gabe rapping Vanilla Ice (which happens to be one of my go-tos as well if ever forced onto karaoke stage), then you’d really have a sense of how all around amazing this day was.
Getting to relive days like this with so many couples really makes me appreciate what I do; to be around such love on a weekly basis, and get to retell the story of THAT day, for all of the friends and family who didn’t make it, as well as those who did and want to relive it; not to mention the future generations- kids, grandkids, great grandkids one day… will get to see what it was like on the day their _______parents got married…
I look forward to filming yours.
Have a great weekend! 🙂

Kelly and John got married at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California on August 9, 2014. This was a custom, upgraded Diamond package- and my first ever FIVE camera solo shoot (something not possible when using all DSLR cams). The 5th camera being a tree mounted GoPro behind the officiant for the ceremony. Fun day with a fun couple and an amazing location.

This was such an amazingly fun wedding to film. First off, it was at the Santa Barbara Zoo, which was an amazing setting. Beyond that, it was just one of those days and groups of people that you could feel the love and happiness everywhere. Truly a beautiful day. This was a two camera, single videographer shoot, with an extra camera for the ceremony. (Diamond Package w/upgrade)

Dina and Reggie got married at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles last night. July 6, 2014. This was an intimate setting with over 100 close friends and family ending the holiday weekend in the best way possible, celebrating love.

And without further ado…
They got married at a private ranch in Calabasas, in what was truly a remarkable wedding and just all around awesome setting. The decor and atmosphere was just special, and made for an incredible moment in their journey together. I was honored to be able to capture it and retell their story cinematically. Four cameras on the ground and one in the air were used for the ceremony, with 3 ground cameras for the reception. All music used was recorded LIVE during the Wedding ceremony, and performed by Brandt Jacobus.
