The day started out with monsoon rains, but that didn’t stop the festivities from going off without a hitch. Almost 800 guests still arrived on time at All Saints Church in Borella, Sri Lanka. The reception was held at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Columbo.

What a day, and trip, this was. An amazing couple with a great story. An experience I will never forget. (My body would like to forget the jetlag though.)
Sitting outside of our hotel in Sri Lanka right now, the Girithale Hotel (or that’s what I got from the pool boy who just tried to enunciate it for me). The wedding was a success, despite monsoon rains on the day of. A very traditional, cultural experience, and I was honored to be a part of it. I look forward to sharing pictures and a video as soon as I return. For now, I am off to go elephant riding….
ps. I will be here for the next 9 days… editing a little each night, in preparation for what’s called the HOmecoming party, where the bride and groom return from their honeymoon. At this party, I will show the video of their wedding. There will actually be some guests who weren’t at the wedding (mind you 800 were!!)
Gonna be a late night, as today’s wedding doesn’t start until 5pm, and will go to 1am. It gives me the morning to finish printing the discs for Lian and Dan, whose wedding video I just finished yesterday. I will post a link to their montage a bit later.
