This was one of those weddings that had it all. Scenic location, amazing couple, amazing guests, originality and SO MUCH going on, there was always something fun happening. The positive energy never died down during my entire 8 hours on site that foggy day in Woodside, California. This was a fun shoot the entire day, and more importantly, a fun edit as well! You may notice in the background, they also got the Confessional Booth option, which this video serves as almost a little teaser for.

It’s so easy to get caught up in the fast paced day to day of every day life (too many days??), and that’s exactly why today is such a great day.
Being thankful isn’t always easy, because it’s so much easier to concentrate and focus on what we DON’T have, rather than what we do. It’s more fun to dream of what we want, than to appreciate what we have. That’s human nature I guess. The holidays, while perpetuating that problem with a bombardment of advertising enticing you to go spend on things you can’t afford, ALSO reminds us of what is so important. Family.
I get to see new families created just about every week. It’s extremely satisfying to be with people celebrating such a special day so often. Today is perhaps the grandest of them all.
So even if Uncle Bob burps one too many times at the dinner table, or cousin Rick makes one or two inappropriate comments, remember to have perspective. I’ve always loved this Ancient Persian quote…
“I had the blues because I had no shoes, until upon the street, I saw a man with no feet.”
We all have something to be thankful for, let’s spend today doing just that.
Watching a little football and a little turkey isn’t such a bad idea either.

Leah and Randy got married at Saint Finbar Catholic Church in Burbank, California. They had their reception at the Grace E. Simmons lodge in Elysian Park.
