As I get ready to make a trip back east to be with my family, I just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa. I hope this season of joy has been a good one, and the stresses of life haven’t been to heavy to carry. Life is a journey, and season’s like this, while sometimes very difficult financially, are all about family and friends. You don’t need a lot of money to spend time with loved ones.

So take this time and enjoy it, regardless of your situation. Life has a way of sorting itself out in time, and what better time to wait for than the New Year. We all have a lifetime of ups and downs ahead of us, so do all you can to live in the moment this holiday season, and let the bumps in the road be nothing more than simple obstacle you sidestep this week and next as you spend time with those you love.

Proposal Idea of the Month: Get the ring, and take her outside somewhere. There’s something about the cold air and being able to see your breath that makes any event more memorable to me. An ice skating rink, park, mountain resort…wherever. Walk around holding hands. Inevitably she’ll get cold, and want to head indoors somewhere. Start to lead the way… As you get to a warm place, be it a house, cabin, bar or club, open the door for her, lead her, and as she steps in, turn her back around, where you are still outside, ring in hand, on bended knee. See how long it takes before she feels the cold again…

I wish you all the best, and look forward to hearing from many new brides to be in the coming new year!!
