Jessica and Daniel’s wedding was a long time in the making, and they finally tied the knot at the San Fernando Mission last August, with the reception at a nearby banquet hall.
I shot this video as a wedding gift for them, bringing only a single DSLR camera (60D), along with a tripod and mini slider.

I had goosebumps as I filmed their wedding day, and again as I edited everything a month later. Just an inspiring couple who fought for this moment, and deserve everything their marriage brings.
So last night my external hard drive containing all of my current projects failed. (No more Seagate hard drives for me). Of course, I have all the pertinent files backed up, but I don’t back up all the project edits, so quite a few days of work was lost. Thankfully, after many hours of relentless effort- I was able to get the hard drive to operate for all of like 7 minutes, which gave me enough time to extract the necessary files to avoid losing said work days of edits. Before this happened, I was probably over stressing on getting my two current projects done before the end of next week- now my pace is much calmer, thanks to a little perspective grabber. On a very small scale of course. Turning on the news for ten seconds would probably have the same effect. Not that I don’t watch the news… wait.
Anyway, now I should be able to keep to my schedule, finishing up Sabrina and Rashaad’s video by this weekend, Jeff’s party video next week, with a few red carpet events for Glamour.com thrown into the mix.
Back to work I go!
Jennifer and Joey got married just a couple short weeks before Christmas, and their wedding was such a blast to film. Nearly a year and a half had passed since originally meeting with them ( https://onbendedkneefilms.wordpress.com/2011/08/31/the-thing-on-that-day/ ), but it felt like only a couple months. It’s crazy how fast time is flying by. And looking back on previous posts, and knowing full well what I am responsible for, it’s such an honor to film days like this, for Jennifer and Joey, and every other couple I’m privileged enough to be hired by.
Thanks Jennifer and Joey for letting me be part of your day! And thanks for the extra creative assortment of songs to play with during editing. 🙂
I would just like to take a moment to be thankful for the fact that I never booked an event for this weekend, as it is allowing me to travel to New orleans, to root on my hometown Baltimore Ravens in the HarBowl! It will be my first championship event for any sport, and I am beyond excited to be heading to LAX tomorrow, headed for Houston, and then the Crescent City!
My focus has been tested mightily this week, as I had to finish Mark and Melissa’s wedding before tomorrow, and having just completed that task, I can now pack!
